Our centrally located holiday apartments are just a short walk from Würzburg’s best-known sights. Enjoy the famous Brückenschoppen, a glass of wine on the Old Main Bridge just a four-minute walk away, with a view of Marienberg Fortress, or round off the evening with authentic Franconian cuisine at the traditional Backöfele restaurant right downstairs.

CHASE House
A colourful piece of Würzburg
The CHASE House at Bockgasse 3 dates back to the 18th century and is a listed building. A red plaster façade, bold colours and the small quirks of a historic building give it its particular charm. Downstairs are the CHASE Bar and the CHASE Steakhouse, upstairs four individually designed apartments.

Franconian hospitality since 1977
The Backöfele house at Ursulinergasse 2, a former canon's residence, stands just around the corner. Downstairs the Backöfele has served Franconian food since 1977, and according to family tradition the family's history as innkeepers goes back to 1580. Upstairs the story continues in eight apartments, each with a colour world of its own.

The cathedral, the Marienkapelle and the Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981, shape the old town. Staying at the CHASE House puts you right in the middle: four minutes to the Old Main Bridge, five to seven to the cathedral and the market square.

A house with history
As early as 1465, a charter of St. Stephen's Abbey mentions the estate that today's Bockgasse 3 belonged to. The present house was built in the 18th century, and around 1881 the Adlerbräu inn welcomed its guests here. Today it is a listed monument.

Eat, drink, sleep
On 13 May 1977 Gerd Ehehalt opened the Backöfele, in 2008 the CHASE Steakhouse joined the CHASE Bar, and in 2019 the first apartments followed. Today bar, steakhouse, Backöfele and twelve apartments bring staying, dining and going out together in one place.
